Bell-O, the
smart door bell extends an existing bell
installation with multimedia based features. It
provides remote access through an mobile
application which notificates the user when the
door has ringed and shows a video stream. It
also allows the user to talk via internet to
the person in front of the door and can open
the door remotely.
Electronic design: Door bell interface
- This board is a microcontroller based design to integrate into the existing door bell installation
- It can interface different door bell installation technologies from several manufacturers
- It reads all door bells separatly and filters those signals
- This board can be interfaced via RS485 from the system board
Electronic design: System board
- A microcontroller based system which is communicating all door bell interfaces via RS485
- It hooks up an SBC and communicates to it via UART
- The board is doing all power management including a battery charger
- It includes as well it's own audio chip with an amplifier and a microphone connector
Manufactoring
- Both electronics are produced by Embedded Design Team including:
- Electronic sourcing
- Firmware flashing
- Electrical tests
- Mouting of all additional components
- Integration test
